ED Staff will need to review the study published by FEDC to gauge necessary updates to the incentive program in order to remain competitive in the state. A full refresh of the incentive program policy will be drafted and presented to Board of County Commissioners in the future.

ED Staff has done some work to review existing target industries for incentives and has refined new suggestions to include in a new policy when adopted. Staff has reviewed some of the incentive programs of neighboring counties in NEFL but has not inventoried the state broadly. A report on incentives is currently being conducted by the Florida Economic Development Council, with results coming soon.
