157 Elevation Certificates reviewed, 344 Floodplain Inquires, 8 SUBCONs reviewed, 13 SI/SD Determinations

Created Substantial Improvement Procedures for interpreting the “SI/SD Matrix” and how we track Substantial Improvement Projects. 

Improving on our Substantial Damage Procedures by developing new tools with GIS to track Substantial Damage in the field post storms.

Continuing to provide resources to residents concerned about flooding and drainage issues within the county. 

344 Floodplain inquires including calls, emails, and in person meetings have kept in communication with those who have questions about their properties and the county's floodplain program. 

Updated our Flood Facts Flyer that is required for CRS credit.

The 2025 CRS Manual was released in September and there were not many changes from the 2021 Manual. We will still work to ensure we are meeting all of our CRS requirements. 

The county was notified on August 14th that we had passed our annual recertification. 

CRS is an ongoing program that helps the county receive flood insurance discounts. Substantial Damage Administrative Procedures Plan is still under development using a FEMA template to organize files, rosters, ordinances, and trainings that would be vital to our Substantial Damage operation in case of a large-scale hurricane or other disaster.
